How do you convert pixels to inches?
Divide the pixel dimension by the effective print resolution in pixels per inch (PPI). A 3000-pixel edge prints at 10 inches at 300 PPI, 12.5 inches at 240 PPI, 15 inches at 200 PPI, or 20 inches at 150 PPI.
The number stored as “DPI” in image metadata does not create or remove pixels. For print sizing, the useful question is how many pixels are available for each printed inch.
